Megan and Trey’s wedding was the definition of what it means to love beyond measure. You can FEEL the love throughout their wedding day that took place at The Silk Mill in Powhatan. I’ve known Megan since high school, she was a few grades behind me but I always knew her as the fun, spunky, sporty girl that lived a few houses down. What I didn’t know till she booked me for her wedding and then we found out we were both pregnant at the same time was how amazing and sweet she is. Megan is the girl that texts you after doctor appointments or randomly to check in on you. She cheers you on and is the type to lift you up and celebrate with you.
When Megan told me about Trey I knew he was something special. Having known Megan for a while I knew about prior relationships, but this one was different immediately. She lit up talking about him! There was an excitement in her tone and she kept laughing telling me stories of their relationship. It was the cutest thing! Last December I went over to Megan’s mom’s house (perks of her living a few houses down from my parents) where I was able to finally meet Trey. He is every bit fun and hilarious as Megan said he was. Megan and I were both in our second trimester and watching Trey love on her and her baby belly was heart melting. You could see the love in every touch, every glance. He’s perfect for her. Fast forward a few months, baby Drew was born three days after our son, Oakley, was born! Baby Drew is the cutest blonde hair, blue eye bug!! The perfect mix of Megan and Trey. This will go down as one for the books, from all the cute babies (including my own), to my stepdad performing the ceremony, to all the familiar faces Megan and I grew up with, to Trey and his Marine buddy’s amazing dance moves!!
Oakley was a guest for the second time!! Loved having my mom, stepdad, and Oakley at two of my weddings this year.
The bottom right one is Megan and Oakley! Baby Drew is three days younger than Oakley, so Megan had to get her baby snuggles in.
Ahhh! Frame worthy of my mom and Kevin! Thank you, Alex, for the image of Oakley and I dancing for the very first time at a wedding. One day, it we will recreate this photo at his own wedding (cue momma tears).
